I bought this breast pump, not knowing if this new brand was reliable. But it was!

Many people are unaware of this new brand of electric breast pump called Hygeia breast pump.

It is relatively new to the market, but when I got to know about it I was definitely bought over. It took me very little reviews before I was convinced to go get a Hygeia breast pump.

I have used a Medela FreestyleMedela Pump-in-Style, Medela Mini Electric and Medela Mini Electric Plus before and I really loved each and everyone of them. I was convinced to buy the Hygeia breast pump because I came across a review in which a mom whose trusty Medela Pump-in-style broke down, found that the Hygeia breast pump was a good substitute!

The Hygeia breast pump is also a dual electric breast pump. You are able to adjust the speed of the suction as well as frequency of the suction.

When comparing the Hygeia breast pump with the Medela higher end electric breast pumps and the Avent Isis Duo, it lacks the automated letdown phase of the Medela, and does not come with a memory function of the Philips Avent Isis Duo electric breast pump.

However, the Hygeia breast pump has a recording feature in which you can record the cries or sound of your baby, which can stimulate letdown.

This feature definitely surpasses the photo slot that comes with the Medela Pump-in-Style bag!

If you are thinking of purchasing a used electric breast pump, or renting one, the Hygeia breast pump is the best choices around. It is certified and registered with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to be shared among multiple users. This means that there are no contamination issues when it comes to sharing the Hygeia breast pump. All each mom needs is a personal accessory set, which costs only $35. Do read my post on why you should not rent a Medela breast pump.

Another selling point of the Hygeia breast pump is that it comes with a 3 year warranty, pitting itself up against its competitors.

If that is not enough, the owners of Hygeia also pledge that its products are eco-friendly, meaning it can be recycled once you decided to bid farewell to your Hygeia breast pump for good.

If you are a full-time pumping mom looking for a reasonably-priced dual electric breast pump, the Hygeia breast pump is one of the best choices around.
